Reef Octopus 1000 Hang on the Back Protein skimmer BH1000

Post by Gooburz »

So i have a guy in the area on craigslist selling this skimmer (Reef Octopus 1000 Hang on the Back Protein skimmer BH1000) for only $75. I saw decent reviews on them, i went and saw the skimmer and saw it up and running and working. Thing looks brand new, however i wanted to know what you guys thought about these skimmers and if it would be decent for a 30-40 gal tank. Please let me know what you think asap because he'd like to sell it today. And i can't beat the price because new they are about $150-170.

I have heard good things about it, but never used it myself. For the price though, it's a good deal. The brand itself is loved amongst many hobbyists.
