Algae Scrubbers

Post by K2ggers »

How effective do you think they are? I'm planning on setting one up for my brackish 50 gallon to minimize water changes and subsequently marine salt costs.

NOTHING substitutes for water changes.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Not saying I won't do water changes-Once every 3 or 3 weeks
But instant ocean is expensive here-30 dollars for 200 gallons of light brackish
So if I did weekly water changes I would spend 30 or even 40 dollars a month on salt alone
And I'm a student so it will get pricely over time.
