Hello everyone, it's that time again! As some of you know I've recently run into some bad luck, so I will try my best to get this up & running so thank you everyone for your patience.

Guinean puffer "Bubblegum"
- Species: Sphoeroides marmoratus
- Age: in captivity for about 1 year
- Size: almost 7 inches TL
- Right before my trusty LFS closed, they got this bloke in. I've got him in a 50 gallon FOWLR by himself. I may add some soft corals later, but for now, it's just him, some live rock, and lots of macro-algea.

LOL when #4 came in I had to ask the person who submitted it.. "what kind of self respectin mobsta has the name Cooties?"

Thanks for getting it posted Lisa, between my camping trip, finding out I have a severely fractured bone in my foot and the fish convention setup going on.. its been crazy!

Nope, irrubesco females don't have a red tail. Just the males :) The females have beautiful lace-like tails.

Females of the two species are very similar, but female Carinotetraodon irrubesco generally have a ventral surface profusely marked with brown squiggles, whereas the underside of female Carinotetraodon lorteti is more or less entirely plain.

No worries Lil, it can be hard to keep all the species separate in your mind. Especially the red eyes as they can be quite similar with little difference :)
