Porcupine Fish Foods: Is blanched ok ?
Hi, I just bought a sea food mix from the store containing blanched octopus, squid, and squid rings. I then noticed it says that these items were blanched. I understand cooked items should not be fed (correct if I’m wrong) , but is blanched ok ? From my understanding blanched is when a food item is boiled for a bit of time but not actually cooked. Do you think this would be ok to feed to a Porcupine Fish ? Any advice would be greatly accepted , thank you !

I would think that would "cook" the food. Does it say ready for human consumption?

It does not , and there are clams in the package and it states that those are cooked (won’t be using) while the Octopus, Squid , and Squid rings were blanched. I will also note that it does not state that any other ingredients were used in the seafood mix.Pufferpunk wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 11:26 pm I would think that would "cook" the food. LOL, well I may just stick on the safe side and use this mix as treats for the turtles instead.
