I've done research about tank mates for amazon puffers and I've gotten mixed answers. Some sites say they are community fish while some say otherwise. I'm looking for feedback on personal experiences. Would I be able to mix a couple pea puffers (or other fish) with a group amazon puffers. I have a 65 gallon tank that's moderately planted

The pea puffers would probably nip at the amazons. I would keep a group of just amazons, and you could add either a mid sized pleco or some large, fast, peaceful characins

Keep in mind that SAPs are still puffers & ALL puffer species have the propensity to be evil.

I personally haven’t tried rams but I’d say proceed with caution. The main reason for this is that they’re generally smaller than the puffers, so they may look more tempting and a bite could do more damage.
