Fahaka Cost

Post by Rhyanna »

My mom recently got a fahaka puffer but she accidentally ordered two. She said i could have the other one but i am insure if i should take him. He is about an inch long right now but i know they get huge. As a person about to start college i just want to know the average cost for feeding him as he grows and when he is full grown.

It's not really feeding that is the problem. You can buy most of what he eats in the produce dept of a grocery store. It's the moving back & forth to & from college with a fish that grows VERY quickly & will eventually need a 120g tank, minimally.

Right, i will be living at home for the entirety of college. I have the means to get a bigger tank when that time comes.

Great to hear but these fish can live up to 20 years. After your 4 years in college--then what?

Moving a puffer 6+ absolutely sucks so I wouldnt wait to long. I would get a drilled tank and make water changes pretty much automated. Your time will be at a premium
