Do fahaka puffers hide

Hi guys I have brought a fahaka puffer fry yesterday he was moving around quite a lot and when I went to have a look around 20.30 last night he was no where to been seen is this common do they hide a lot any help would be great I have a very large custom made 4ft bow fish tank with gravel in and some live plants thanks again john

Yes, they bury themselves in the sand. I don't think they cold bury in gravel if a tiny fish though. Sand is better.
