My Planted Palembang Tank Plans

Post by PuffTheMagicDragon17 »

A Planted Tank is the look I'm going for. It'll be a 200l\44g. Ideally I want to dirt the bottom of the tank, super thin layer throughout the tank and then cap it with sand, i might run into problems with this method tho. I'm worried that the palembang will dig the bottom substrate up, is that going to be a problem? Rocks and driftwood I've collected from the beach will be the hardscape, that's the plan so far. Thought I should tell you the plants I plan to use since I don't know how my puffer will react around them, are the lurker types plant friendly? There's 4 plants i would like to use, Bolbitis and Anubias hastifolia for the driftwood, then Crinum calamistraum and Crypt sprailis. I'm interested to know if anyone here has created a planted tank for the larger puffer species, or tried to.

Cheers.

They are not diggers/burrowers. They do like a cave to hang out in.

For the most part... Puffers like to bite at plants, especially if they think snails are in there.
