Too much snails for little F8?

Post by nesprim »

Hi!

I have my F8 for 2 hours... and I'm already worried about him. I put him into fully cycled tank. Unfortunately the aquarium is full of little ramshorn snails (from the plants) and he's eating them all the time. He looks like overstuffed swimming ball... so I put him into breeading net box. What should I do? Catch all snails and let him out, or just wait few hours or let him out?

I think he'll be OK eating at whim.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Keep an eye on the water parameters, lots of chewed snails could mean a spike in ammonia

Is that okay leaving snails in the tank to let the puffer eat whenever he wants?
