I recently was given a dwarf green puffer fish as a gift my current tank has two decent size golden apple snails in it, not long after putting the puffer in sure enough he found my largest snail, and started to attack him, the snail is 4 times as big as the puffer. I was wondering if him being so small compared to the snail if he'd still be able to eat him? I'm quite fond of the snail and wouldn't want either of them to be eaten by the new puffer. So I would like to know if they're capable of killing my bigger snails. I also already know that puffers love snails, but these I'm not willing to see go as fish food.

Snails = pufferfood. Puffers are relentless! No such thing as a "dwarf" green pufferfish. My guess is you have a green spottede puffer which will eventually grow to the size of a Nerf football: ug.php/v/PufferPedia/Brackish/T_Nigroviridis/

sadly, the snail will get picked on relentlessly until it's deadTurtlemom wrote:I recently was given a dwarf green puffer fish as a gift my current tank has two decent size golden apple snails in it, not long after putting the puffer in sure enough he found my largest snail, and started to attack him, the snail is 4 times as big as the puffer.
