Hey a couple weeks ago i set up a 10 gallon tank to breed snails for my 3 GSP. I thought everything was going good they were Laying a TON of eggs everywhere. I feed them vacation feeding blocks, spinach, and the occasional lettuce leaf. The tank was cycled with mysis shrimp before i put in the snails. I started with 20 of them about 2 weeks ago. Like I said they were breeding like crazy. In fact i have HUNDREDS of baby snails in the tank still, but i was gone for 1 day came back and most of the adult snails were dead. Out of 20 of them i have 6 left. They seem healthy, (they are eating and their shells are dark) They are normal bladder pond snails. Could this have just been old age and they were meant to die?
my parameters are as follows
Size 10 gallon
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
ammonia 0
GH 300
KH 75
ph 6.9
sg 1.000
