Re: What's your puffer's name?
My new little Hairy has just come home, I've called him Piggy; I was able to visit him in quarantine, and he ate pretty much anything that came into his line of sight
He's chilling out in his coming home bag atm. Slowly, slowly introducing him to his new home.

My green spotted puffer's name is Samwell. I named him after Samwell Tarly from Game of Thrones. In fact, all of my fish are named after Game of Thrones characters lol.
I have 5 fancy goldfishes named Hodor, Ygritte, Jon Snow, Daenerys, and Arya. I also have a betta named Daario and a dwarf gourami named Tyrion. That's all of them!

Re: What's your puffer's name?
It took me a bit of time to name my little puffer. I really had no clue when I first saw him what he would get named.
I did not want to copy anyone so no Tater, Spud, or anything else resembling a potato. I also did not want to use cliche things like naming a hairy puffer, Hairy. Or even worse anything related to the work 'puff'. So no Puff Daddy, no HR Pufnstuf, no Puffy....
So I watched him for about two weeks and kind of saw a bit of puppy dog in him. He looked like he had a little wet nose (well actually he does) and reminded me of a scruffy mutt that you would fall in love with so... my hairy puffer was named Scruffy.

Re: What's your puffer's name?
The only other thing that came to mind when I saw him was the big hairy monster from the old Loony Toons cartoons.
He was named Gossamer or Rudolph The Hairy Monster. And Scruffy did not look like a Rudolph to me.

Re: What's your puffer's name?
The three figure 8s I kept with a GSP (<--DON'T DO THIS) were named 'Noo. Hol, and Roni' cos thats what it looked like was spelled out in the patterns on their backs. The GSP was called Dots (RIP)
My GSP is called Oddball, (which is what I think I'd change my middle name to if I hadn't thought of him first)
I'm thinking of calling my Porcupine Puffer (which I WILL have one day, goddamnit) 'Chuck' but I think I can do better than that.
