So stoked that I got to see 1 for the 1st time at my LFS and during feeding time. WOW is all I gotta say, those things are so cool and dear god can they hit hard!! I've seen the videos but never in person. That and 1 of their octopus got loose and ate everything in the tank and i got to watch them try to catch it lol.
Anyone else ever see a Mantis shrimp in person?

Re: Mantis Shrimp
Yea saw one at the sealife centre in Brighton, they are bigger than I thought they would be.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
Re: Mantis Shrimp
Oh I agree, this one was still on the smaller side but I thought to be kinda large. I didn't realize just how big they can get, or how agressive they are. Almost make puffers look like kittens with how mean they are.

I love my Peacock!
Here's one I saw in the Philippines. That hole is about 6" across:

Until we start looking at some larger, ocean dwelling puffersGooburz wrote:Oh I agree, this one was still on the smaller side but I thought to be kinda large. I didn't realize just how big they can get, or how agressive they are. Almost make puffers look like kittens with how mean they are.
