Sometimes puffers make the paper! ;)

Translated from Dutch:

The stil young African puffer from Rotterdams greengrocer Raymond Snel was unable to crush a single snailshell due to dental problems. Chewing some soft food was still ok but the crushing of snails, shrimps and crawfish had become impossible. The extraordinary 40cm big animal was in danger of dying by starvation. Almost a month Snel searched for somebody who could file the razorsharp teeth of his pet but this kind of experts are hard to be found in the Netherlands. Untill he recently found veterinarian Peter Werkman: a specialist when it comes to complicated and not so normal fishoperations. Werkman came especially to Rotterdam, where the fish was treated on the kitchentable under only 10 minutes. Snel, who years ago bought the rare freshwater fish in Brussel, told that the fish could not eat a single bite any more. "I had to act fast. We took the fish out of his aquarium with a net and put him in a bowl that contains water with some anaesthetic." At first the poisoness animal puffed up out of anger to an impressive size but eventually he shrunk again and the doctor could start. His teeth were shortened with a file and clamp. The operation had to be pauzed because the fish can not stay out of the water for to long so he was put back in the bowl for a while before continuing. The fish, which can easily bite of a human finger when hungry, is now happily crushing his favorite food again according to his owner Snel.
