STELLATUS ATTACKED MY FRIENDS CAT :S

Post by BedScien »

My friend has this awesome starry puffer called Hugo and he knows I'm crazy about puffers so he's asked me if I want to feed Hugo while he's on holiday with his wife.

He's gone for a couple of weeks and I fed Hugo once no problem but this week I've come back and seen I left the freaking basement door open. Rob's and Val (his wife) have a Singapura cross-breed, a nasty little piece of work which likes to attack everything that moves. (Well they HAD a singapura cross-breed)

There's white fur floating in the tank and water everywhere and Hugo definitely looks like he's eaten.

HELP!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!

The cat is screwed but will Hugo be okay? :S

Well, first of all, you should inform your friend if you haven't done so already. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it is the right thing to do. Secondly, did the puffer eat the ENTIRE cat?

This may sound messed up but i would check for blood around the tank or see if there is any wet trail leading away from the tank. Possibly its licking its wound in a corner.

ITA..If a large snake has damage from eating a pinkie, a puffer should be damaged form cat attacks..

Uness the stellatus is ferking huge, there is no way the cat is dead....Sulking and wounded almost certainly..
A kiss on the hand may be quite continental

I joined and posted it there but they're no help

I'm going to wait until they're home to tell them. I figure there's no sense telling them now and ruining their holiday. I can't find ANY TRACE of the cat but I can't see blood either. I'm going to test the water to see if there is anything in there. I figure there would be a slight ammonia spike?

Do you reckon I should still feed Hugo? I'm not SURE he ate the cat but it DEFINITELY looks like he's eaten. The cat is only small but if he did eat it that'd be a lot of food :|

Their cat is only a diddy little thing and the Stellatus is just pushing a meter!!
