So I'm finally back!

Post by LilGreenPuffer »

Hey, everyone! Sorry I haven't been around for so long. I've been really busy with school, but I'm graduating from Georgetown College in... *counts* ...five hours! (Yes, I should be sleeping, I know - I've been chatting online instead of being sensible or even partying). I still have some things to finish up - a senior paper and two classes that I'll probably need to retake, all three due to some mental health issues - but things won't be so intense anymore, and I should be around a lot more now.

Baccalaureate was tonight (last night by now?). Here's a picture of me and my dad. He's a professor at my school, so he was required to be in regalia too. He went to Princeton, thus the goofy hat. GC gives us pretty boring regalia, I guess. Mom took this picture first, decided we didn't look happy enough, and did some weird stuff to make us laugh that only made me screw up my face in a moment of please-Mom-we're-in-public embarrassment - so this is the only picture that was actually fit to keep. Hopefully I'll have some nicer ones tomorrow after Commencement.

Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."
