apparently 13 miles down the road from me in my home town in 1894 (year before i was born ! lol ) it rained jelly fish -' thousands of jellyfish that apparently fell from the sky' ........most bizarre

hmmm I am most inclined to go with the florist balls. Those look incredibly similar. Who's to say they wouldn't make craters if they were loaded up with water and dropped from the sky?
