I guess it is now time to start researching sumps or at least plan my stand around having one in place at some point. Thanks everyone for your input! I'm looking forward to putting this advice into practice over the next few months.

Would you suggest 50-60lb of live rock with the remaining 10-20lb base rock? Regarding the sump, I'm still wrapping my head around this seemingly simple but, mind bending piece of tech. @Welch4: Thanks for the advice. I actually just put the prefilter on 2 weeks ago (after the picture was taken) when I re-scaped the tank. I'm glad the air stone can go. I cant stand them, they are a huge eyesore. Plus, by removing it, i'll have an extra plug available to hook up the powerhead I have...
