I'm pretty sure this is true.paws_bells wrote:I'm not sure if it's entirely true, but I was doing some research on IP medication for puffers and read on the Tetra Q&A website that Parasite Guard is actually the same as Parasite Clear. Apparently, Tetra bought over Jungle, or so the staff member claimed.

Yes, I too believe that you can learn from many different sources and that often it is even a good thing to see other perspectives and different ideas. I however, do not approve of at least a small minority of the members that belong to the other forum, as they do not attempt to exchange information...

Re: tetra safe start your view
Have had great personal experience using it twice to instant cycle a tank. I think people that have trouble with it may not have used it as directed on the bottle. If you only add it right before the fish are thrown in and pour it into the filter box then don't do a wc for 48 hours then it should wo...

Re: gsp info needed
Best of luck to you. I would say one thing that upgrading as needed is risky when dealing with gsps since they are such slow growers it will be hard to say exactly when they will need the upgrade. Another thing is that your situation may change further down the line making it even harder to get the ...

Re: Your biggest DUHHHH moment (relating to fish)
Most annoying thing I've done is emptying my fish tank and leaving the heater switched on. And then having the heater explode when I add the cold water back (and what's even more annoying than that is I've done the same thing twice). Ya, I've done that one too. I now keep all the fish related plugs...

Aggression can be often linked to boredom or being in a smaller tank, do you have a large enough tank for the 2? Also many lines of broken sight and lots to explore? Full tank shot please.

Re: Fahaka fight wounds ok?
The wounds don't appear infected or open so I wouldn't worry about it, monitor it over the next few days and dose with melafix if it seems infected. A suggestion I have is to give a few more water changes over the next few days to keep the water quality pristine. If you worry about your puffer remov...

Re: Knight goby v gsp
Its hard to say down to the exact reason to why this may happen, its why people say to keep puffers in a species only tank because often aggression from either side seem to appear for no apparent reason. Knight Gobies are semi aggressive and you may have just gotten an extra aggressive one, or maybe...

Re: Valentini puffer
I didn't even notice the anemone, they need to be introduced into a mature tank that is a year or older and require a ton of light plus a larger tank very difficult to keep.

+1 also along the same lines, don't forget how much water volume you are losing with the LR a sump or refugium would help you out.
