Re: Large dp tank

Yeah probably 8 to 12. My rule for pea puffers is 3 gallon for 1 pea puffer.

Re: Newbie

Yeah, I would suggest you look at the puffer library, but from my experience, the gravel I used was sand, a heater to about 73 degrees, and put a lot of decorations and plants beside the glass because my DP used to surf the glass, but when I did that, it stopped. Another thing is make sure it eats. ...

Re: cannibal puffers

Feel sorry about that little guy. But is funny though. The death, it is just, you know, is an unusual way to die. Hope your puffers grow well!
And maybe, Crushed.

Re: F8 internal parasites

The disease may be tuberculosis, my DP had it. I was really attached to it, so it was sad to see that guy go. : (
I heard that dog dewormers might help. Not sure though.

Hopefully this helps. :)

SAP surfing glass

Hi guys, do you guys know how to stop my SAP from surfing up and down the glass? For some reason, it does it at a specific time, and goes to do other stuff at another specific time. Do you guys know how to stop this surfing madness (not really madness)? I put rocks to block the puffer from looking o...

Re: SAP in 300l

I have a SAP too, and it is doing fine with my guppies and my shiners. (Yes, wild ones.) I just suggest that you keep the SAP with tankmates it's own size and bigger. But make sure the bigger tankmates, if you get them don't harass the SAP.

Can anyone give me some advice about Amazon puffers? I got one named Cheeto, and want to make sure he has the best life possible. Thanks. : )

Yeah, when I had a pea puffer, I saw it curl it's tail. It's pretty normal.

Re: What's your puffer's name?

My SAP (Amazon Puffer, South American Puffer) is named Cheeto, and my DP (Pea Puffer, or Dwarf Puffer) is Puffy. (Cheeto's name is being simplified)
