Re: BeeBoo Is Not Well!
well, today's report is a few steps in the right direction! :) with the congo puffers, don't give up on the earthworms "lurkers" generally like them, and they are typical of the food that they might encounter in nature, being bottom dwellers they may not recognize them as food yet a little...

Re: Can spiney eels and dwarf puffer live in harmoney?
hey fishy12! as you read through past posts & do some searches on tankmates (there's a ton of material here at The Puffer Forum), you should come to realize that though it might seem like a great idea to mix puffers & other fish, rarely does it work out, and often becomes a nightmare for all...

Re: Malabar/Dwarf Puffer Feeding
at first, i had a tough time getting my DPs to eat frozen bloodworms, too you might try giving them live red or black worms in the morning, in limited amounts, so that when you feed them in the evening, they will be hungry in the evening, give them a limited amount of defrosted & RINSED bloodwor...

Re: Malabar/Dwarf Puffer Feeding
:D there may be a worm terminology issue here! :D ordinarily, bloodworms are actually the larva of a fly, and to my knowledge, are only available frozen the small, live worms commonly available, are usually referred to as blackworms, and sometimes as redworms they look like tiny earthworms, about 1/...

Re: Congo not eating
it wouldn't hurt to try ghost or cherry shrimp
you just have to try different things
"ollie" had three ghost shrimp living with him for months & didn't eat them
do you know what he was fed before you got him?
also, it may be good to bump the temperature up to 78-80 degrees.

Re: Congo not eating
hi dmond31 two weeks is a long time when i suspect for any reason that "ollie" (T. Miurus) is "off his feed" i offer him a fat juicy earthworm :) it's a very rare occasion that he will turn that down! a live cricket is a close second. a few areas of concern here: is his "bre...

..........and there may be nothing at all wrong with your puffers' vision
it will probably be the easiest thing to determine
then you can begin to deal with whatever other issues exist
you "won't know until you know"
