Re: Show your face!
Chin, my wife is a very pretty woman, she became beautiful when she was pregnant. No need to be vain. haha that could quite easily be taken the wrong way LOL but I'm sure she was beautiful before she became pregnant though ;) You're right that didn't come out exactly like I meant it......the last p...

dadof4.. are you an optician?????! No, I have a life, couldn't pay me enough to be an MD. I'm an RN and I work in a large Trauma ICU and do extra hours on the helicopter. Corneal abrasions and scratches are one of the most common small injuries we see, nearly every trauma patient has one due to fly...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the tank holds all the weight from the rock and don't burst one me. :D I moved all the base rock into a trash can. When I get home from work I will lay it out to dry on the patio. Just don't know what to do with the 3 large pieces I have left in the tank. Two wou...

Yeah, it's just the bottom but I'm a perfectionist. I think I can get over it though, only paid $150 for tank, stand (that barely holds it empty), and florescent light strips.Nick wrote:If it's just the bottom... don't worry... be happy.

Now, mind you, this is coming from a person who has had 18' Burmese Pythons, bred all sorts of Australian Carpet Pythons (Black Head especially), and worked on a habitat project for Timber Rattlesnakes but,I have no clue why on God's Green Earth someone would want to raise an alligator. That could p...

Interesting fact is, on a human the cornea is the fastest healing tissue in the body. Corneal abrasions and scratches non-visible (with floricine dye and black light) within 24 hours and are usually totally healed within 3-4 days. I wonder if that holds true for fish too.

Used Tank
I've got a 180gallon that I just bought that was used for reptiles (alligator to be exact) and the bottom is scratched all to heck. I picked it up because the guy was practically giving it away. Any ideas on how to get the scratches out?

Re: Catching local fish?
I read through the IDNR fishing rules and regulations and found nothing about keeping and housing native fish in captivity. There was a paragraph on seining and keeping minnows (must be from the Cyprinidae family) but that covered mostly net sizes. I know in Wisconsin it's not legal to keep any game...
