They are such a weird creature! When I first saw one I thought they were really gross looking, but they have grown on me a lot and I like how they make their own burrows.
How big is he?

Re: Puffer size comparison
What size tank are we talking about? Then we may be able to help you find a specific puffer, there are a good number of fw puffers you can own but they are really out of season right now. Aquabid is a good choice or ebay would probably be your best bet at this time of the year, the best time to get ...

Re: eeek gill flukes!?!??
Hello, so I am quoting this from another thread that I found on this site. http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28864&p=312062 Since it is an external parasite treat the tank with Jungle fizzy tabs, and if that doesn't kill it off raising the salinity of the tank into higher brack...

Re: Help! Green Spotted Puffer Swimming & Resting Sideways
Thanks for the info, based on what you said I would get a new water conditioner (Prime ) its what a majority of this forum swears by and seems to always work. Your filter pads are where your bacteria grow and shouldn't be switched out so frequently, it sounds like you have two filters running which ...

Re: Help! Green Spotted Puffer Swimming & Resting Sideways
You may want to up the wc to every week since they are bigger and puffers tend to make a big mess. Do you clean out the filter/ filters? every month you shouldn't be showing any ammonia in the tank ever. What are the exact names of the products you use on the tank?

Re: GSP suddenly sick
How did you cycle the tank? I ask that because the bacteria in the tank should be able to handle all the Ammonia that they produce and there shouldn't ever be a Ammonia spike.

Re: Stocking #'s
I think that adding in two more f8's is possible in your tank monitor them often from a bit of distance so you can watch how they interact to make sure they are all actually getting along. Start adding in food from multiple spots in the tank if you haven't already, will help reduce aggression and ma...

Hey welcome to the forum, are you treating the water at all before adding it to the tank? Prime should take care of it.

Re: Queries on treating DPs with Praziquentel
Treating the tank itself is probably not going to help much, except waste medicine. Since you are having a hard time getting them to eat, don't feed them for a 1-2 days first and then try it again another favorite food for dps are live blackworms and you can order those over the internet.
