Did you check out the Puffer List? Feed as any puffer, until rounded tummy, 1x/day, skipping 1 day/week. Blood/blackworms, freeze-dried krill/plankton, crickets, etc.

they are best kept in pairs. My female killed all the other females in her tank (lorteti). Could you wait for a male? They're prettier too!

Are they keeping it in SW? That puffer isn't even in Ebert's book! Does it have identical markings to the one at Fishbase? Cause there are many variations of the Sphoeroides species & are extremely difficult to tell apart. They can grow anywhere fron 15-45 cm, so it would be good for the LFS to ...

Go ahead & add the fish as soon as the tanks, filters, ect. is situated. Keep em in a bucket while you do all that.
