Not to discourage you from using the 90 but IMO id be a waste of money. Why not try selling your tank for the 180g

Re: Thinking of switching.
I have no XP with porcs but IMO I would highly recommend a sump/refugium. Those algaes can take over a display tank in no time. Plus your gonna need a skimmer and an in-sump skimmer is prefered over the HOB skimmers.

Re: Advice needed in BW>SW plan.
Do u have a hydrometer?? You'll need one if not. Its about 10-12$ and its used to measure the amount of salt in your system. Once your able to measure that then you gotta kinda learn for yourself how much salt will be needed to get to your desired specific gravity. For instance. I buy my RO/Di water...

Re: Shocking light fixture
Somewhere in that thing its conducting thru salt creep or just bad wires. Id inspect it thoroughly. Thats why its highly recommended IMO that you use glass covers over any system SW/BW. Even in FW to keep condensation outta the fixture. Id definitely get some glass lids after you solve this problem....

Re: Pics of a few things 45g and 10g
I honestly have no clue. Im still a SW noob. But I would imagine you wouldnt want it to tear and leak in the tank. IDK. Im about to try this stuff called aptasia x and it has needles you use to inject the poison into the aptasia. If its in the sand then you could prolly scoop or vacuum it out aslong...

Aptasia is all I kno, and as far as I kno.... theyre all bad. They can sting fish and corals and will spread and grow pretty rapidly. Terminate it IMHO

Re: Pics of a few things 45g and 10g
Yep Aptasia. I also have some Im about to deal with. My LFS recommended "Aptasia X" It came with needles to penetrate and inject the solution. Only thing is I have yet to see it work (been working). Has anyone used this before. LFS said it'd be fine in my reef tank. Sorry to hi-jack the th...

Re: Pix of my GSP
Seriously I have no doubt youd be fine in SW if you made that tank. IF you did consider the SW path, try CL. I bought a skimmer, sump with bioballs and return pump for 150$. Not the best stuff in the world but it does the job i need it to do and well, so thats all that matters to me. You should have ...
