Re: pale f8, lethargic, help please!!
I always try to suport my local stores for the exact resaon that you can look at what your purchasing/comitting to. You can always ask when exactly new orders will come in. That way you can pick sometimes before they unbag thier orders.

Re: Coloration in python hose.
So I did the bleach siphon. Let the line sit for 10 min filled with the mixture then flushed the line for 5 minutes. It didnt not remove the coloration but ill keep checking over the next couple days/weeks for any change or spread.

Re: powerheads, luxury or essential???
I havent used any of the powerheads you listed but I would opt for the fluval sea out of the two that you listed. I havent found very many powerheads that have adjustable outputs, but if they are adjustable it will say in the description/on the box. As far as the turnover rates for example for your ...

Re: powerheads, luxury or essential???
I think the rule of thumb (someone correct me if im wrong) is 20-40 times turnover for current. With our puffy friends not being the stongest swimmers you would want to aim for the lower end of that spectrum.

Re: powerheads, luxury or essential???
Mount where ever will allow for no dead spots. You can play around with aiming it off diferent surfaces to bounce the current around the tank. Getting two smaller powerheads my make achieving this easier.

Re: powerheads, luxury or essential???
I had the same feeling as my GSP would avoid the outlet of my filter like the plague. 3 days after adding powerhead to my tank he happily rushes against the current.

Re: GSP Circling Magfloat
About a week back I added a koralia 600. The 600 is aimed across the front and the two 450's are aimed across the back pointing to the filter inlet. The little guy still loves doing loop de loops but not as frequent and spends much of his day swimming at the powerheads. Thank you guys for all of you...

Re: Coloration in python hose.
So mix a bleach solution in a 5 gallon and siphon it, then flush by switching to fill down a drain?

Glad to hear Kai is alright. She looks good outside of a little skiddish but she should settle in. Good rescue.

Re: Fahaka questions
Hello Cubafugu. Welcome to the puffer forum. Please read through the articles in the puffer library. But on reading this thread alone it is clear that everything else aside the tank require to house 3. 12"+ fish would be astronomical.

Coloration in python hose.
So I have noticed a pinkish buildup on the inside of my python hose. So far I have not used it to fill any of my barrels since I have seen this. I am somewhat concerned that whatever this is may contaminate the water. Has anyone run into amything growinh inside siphon tubing? And If so best way to e...
