Anything can do to help puffed puffer?

Hi All, My T. schoutedeni got stuck in the python tube during a water change and puffed. I did the best I could to keep her submerged while I was trying to get her out, but I can't be sure that she didn't get any air inside of her. As soon as I got her out of the tube, I added Stress Stopper, Melafi...

Re: New Guy with a Schoutedeni Puffer

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your puffer! Does it have a name? I really love my schoutedenis. They are so much fun and each have their own personalities. Beautiful tank!

Re: tetraodon schoutedeni planted tank

How many gallons is the tank? (900cm is 9.8 yards according to Google...) I have 7 Schoutedeni in two planted tanks and love them. Their personalities are all so different, and they are all gorgeous. Several of them like to hang out at the very surface of the tank. I personally would advise against ...

Re: Fahaka tank - ready & waiting...

I've also ordered from The Wet Spot and never had a bad experience. They usually have tank-raised fahakas for about $14 if I remember correctly, and they have something like a $24 or $25 minimum, so you may have to get another fish for a different tank while you are at it :). I've also had great suc...

This is an article in the library that might help with ideas to tackle palatability issues as well as ideas for other meds: library/hospital/viiii-annabelles-diary ... /#more-169

Re: Deworming not working

I'm sure you already tried this, but maybe soaking the food in garlic guard or similar in addition to the medication will help with palatability? Levamisole is also an excellent deworming option. https://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7 There are a few places online that sell L...

Re: Spotted Congo Puffer- Slime disease?

Will be interested to see what others think. I once had an issue that appeared like this on some new fish in my cory tank that I suspected was Columnaris. I was able to successfully treat with methylene blue.

Re: My Schoutedenis Update

I'm so glad it helped! Had I known then what I know now, I don't think I would have rocked the boat, either, although now having them, I do love them all. I think I am going to try to breed them,if they'll cooperate. I adore the species, and I know I'm not alone in my preference for tank-raised puff...

Re: I found another Duboisi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As we all know, Wikipedia is a great source for many things but not authoritative in all things. Species are not considered to be extinct because proper data cannot be gathered on them due to danger to humans performing that fieldwork. Species are considered extinct after an exhaustive process deter...
