Re: Tetraodon Pustulatus(Cross River Puffer).. Price Tag?

I think Corey has made a very valuable point there, I thought Fahaka straight away. I'm still not convinced that they are in fact a different species, so the question is regardless of what species it is would you want to pay 500 for it? I probably wouldn't but I am skint :P

Re: Tetraodon Pustulatus(Cross River Puffer).. Price Tag?

I have yet to see a confirmed ID on a pustulatus, They are always fahakulatus or pustuhakas ;) They end up being fahaka once they mature. there is some thought that they are just a regional variant of the fahaka or some type of morph. Too much money for me to shell out. However I'm keen to see a pic...

Re: Tank Mates?

What puffer is Buffy?

Some puffers will leave other fast moving fish alone as long as they are fed well. Its not uncommon to hear of the nice gentle puffer who hasn't killed his tankmates causing a bloodbath :(

Re: Poorly Topaz. Please help!!!!

I thought that too PP ;) As for the spines that is fairly normal but if they look slightly swollen or agitated then I found with my puffer this was related to less than ideal water conditions. I would raise the salinity a bit and see what happens there. My friend has just raised hi Ceylon to full ma...

Re: Poorly Topaz. Please help!!!!

I think if it were IP then after 6 months it would have been picked up by now? The other things to look at are temperature and the possibility that your puffer doesn't need as much food as he used to. Once they get to a certain size and their growth rate begins to slow they need less food. I would r...

Re: Expert Advice Needed re: Very Emaciated Puffer

What a success story this has turned out to be, though not out of the woods yet the Puffer looks great and the desire to hunt and feed is really really promising 8) WELL DONE!!!!!

I used to see the white cloud when Clooney attacked an mussle or clamm and i would vent from the gills. If its definately at the bum end then maybe its undigested food? Whta has he/she been eating?
