Re: nitrite and nitrate test
Yeah this must be cycling and I agree with Pufferpunk's numbers if it is cycling then you will soon be able to do a big water change and start stocking the tank

Re: Mbu Puffer not well Pic Posted
I found that my Mbu Clooney would get these white pimples from time to time and I sawe this asa reflection on the water quality, I would perform a 30% water change every 3rd day and they would go. I have to say that from bitter and sad experince that size tank is not a suitable long term home for an...

Re: Transforming indoor swimming pool to Mbu heaven
I think it would be cheaper to start from scratch but just imagine the impact of a tank like that

Re: flashing loach
I have one of these and many clown loaches over time. I think this is fairly standard behaviour for them, though I have no explanation why. As long as your water changes are suitable and regular I wouldn't worry too much about this

Re: 2 mappa
I have to agree with the guys here, even one Mappa couldn't survive long term for 3 years in a 50G, as Yunachin says it will be severely stunted so will die young and have a very unhappy life. I would think that a tank of at least 400G for two if it was just a case of water quality but given the fac...

Re: Hairy Puffer Breeding
That's a terrible shame, if you really want to breed them then I think you would need more but then there are the issues of introducing the new arrivals to established territories I would be tempted to leave these 2 in the store and try a new group for the breeding project

Re: Congo Puffer or Dwarf Puffer
I think as a rule their teeth do not grow at such an alarming rate, feeding shell on prawns is a good idea and live shrimp that has been gut loaded. The secret is not to let them get hooked on one type of food

Re: Anyone kept these species in captivity?
cool find, I think you have your ID correct buts very hard to tell, the front ones could be either Prickley toadfish, Contusus richei but more likely Chelonodon Patoca, the milk-spotted toadfish. The one at te back of the pic looks like a weeping toad yes Torquigener pleurogramma or maybe Torquigene...
