how to move large tank safely?
i need to move my fahaka tank to get a new floor laid and also to do some decorating so would need to move the tank to another place in the house for 24 hrs. any advice whats the best way to do this? regarding the fish, not killing the bacteria in the tank and the plants etc. i couldnt drain, move t...

i think it helps to feed ur puffer before a water change, they are less likely to go after fingers then!

theres no real movement out of mine at all the only part that moves is its eyes lol it doesnt go after food either. it only eats if you put food into its mouth. they are pretty much immobile 99% of the time they are lovely fish, im just used to a puffer with more action lol LOL, That's a tiny baby ...

when i first got my puffer
he was missing a fin

i had bumble bee gobies in with my gsp and it worked out ok.
i think you have to remove the bbgs as you increase the sailnity to a certain point as the bbgs wouldnt survive.

Abe my fahaka is hitting the 6" size and hes getting the maroon stripes more prominent
they are more obvious when hes getting fed, or gets excited!

well i got a used cube tank today. its around 1oo litres(UK) or there abouts he looks alot happier in it than he did in the smaller tank. hes eaten some prawn, literally had to put it into his mouth! they are lovely marked puffers, and hes a big fat specimen lol will get some pics up when hes settle...

that would be a surprise to see a fahaka listed as a palembang lol

im looking to get him a 100-120 litre tank
either a corner or cube one
they dont move much, so no point having a long tank.
thought water volume would be more important, and good filtration
