Re: Potential Upgrade
Thats a sweet upgrade! :) Thanks! I am super super excited! It will give all my fish including Yoshi, more room, and gives me an excuse to make my own LR LOL. Also, I am replacing the substrate with an actual sand, and not the crap I have. I can't get any sand sifters like stars or snails because i...

Re: Potential Upgrade
A lot of people use the biggest sump they can fit into the stand, because it increases the water volume. As far as your skimmer question I am not 100% sure, but I don't see why you couldn't just hang it on the back of the sump, and if that doesn't work, keep it on the back of the tank. However, you...

Re: Re-Aquascaping tomorrow
Oh, that's waaaaay longer than i was thinking. Mine will only be out for a MAX of 5 minutes. Thanks! :) LoL np! Glad that what little experience I had was able to help. ^.^ Good luck with the re-aquascaping. LoL I did that too, and it took way longer than was intended, but the end results were well...

Re: Re-Aquascaping tomorrow
Tomorrow i'll be re-aquascaping my 30g reef. I've been on a winning battle against hair algae but i want the main source of the problem gone which i believe is a small "nook" in between 2 rocks that's gathering detritus. The main worry i have is, how long can live rock be out of the water...

Re: Potential Upgrade
Well, just got a 90 gallon, reef ready tank, brand spankin' new for $300. Now I just have to go to Antioch and pick it up = / LoL. She's also ordering me a matching wood stand for $150, and she's holding all of it for me. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but considering it's brand spanking ne...

Re: Potential Upgrade
Are you trying to find one on craigslist? Not sure about your area, but I know in mine they generally don't have anything that large up there. I would recommend trying to find a local reef club or something like that in your area. They sell their tanks off sometimes, and most of them are plumbed. S...

Re: Potential Upgrade
Thank you! I'll make sure to post up pics. Definitely going to be a project! I am trying to find a plumbed tank right now, but looks like I may be stuck getting a normal one and trying to plumb that -__- I hope she leaves them alone. LoL, her body language last night was so funny-- I added a diamond...

Re: Sand
My assumption is, that if it's a natural color, it shouldn't bleed. But if it's been dyed, I would be careful, maybe so dyes can harm our puffs? Also, it looks super fine grained, might be a pita to clean at first, but I agree, from the google pictures, looks like a lovely substrate. And yes, most d...

Potential Upgrade
So, I have been given the permission to do an upgrade for Yoshi. Denzil and I would like to put her in a 90 gallon tank. This will be a long project though, as I plan on making all the additional LR that I need. Just wondering your thoughts: Yoshi has tank mates now, and she's always left them alone...

Hey there, I recently bought 2 black clown gobies and 1 yellow clown gobie for my SW tank. I misread the Liveaquaria factoid sheet before I bought them and therefore misunderstood it. I thought that you could have more than one, that they liked groups. I now know that you should only have more than ...
