Re: New fish not eating

Re: Evidently my fish like to bite the hand that feeds them
And why do you think pufferghoti gets to tidy up tanks while I feed the puffers at the other end??
TBH..I have never had a problem so far with one of the larger puffer species and biting..My one and only bite was from an orange banded/peacock puffer and that hurt enough for me!

I've started taking a bucket. battery powered airpump and a heater which can be run through an adapter from the car whenever we go to get fish these days.RTR wrote:I don't use a pitcher. I generally just use a plastic bag. I do use net(s) to herd the fish into the bag.

Tomoorow( July 1st ) is Moving Day in Quebec* so there's generally lots of cheap or free second hand tanks avaible on Kijiji and the like.
* It's also Canada Day for the rest of the country.

Re: Why are they so cute?
Many eons ago* I read a scientific study about female attractiveness and it noted that larger than average eys and mouths were the most appealing as it linked back to the size ratio of babies faces. I suspect that puffer facial propertions play into the cute factor. * It used Jacqueline Smith (Charl...

Re: New to the forum
2 or so hours a day for water changes, checking tanks, testing the (sadly non-puffer) reef all the that kinda stuff..ut it tends to be in 15/20 mins periods rather than a full 2 hours. I have to do housework there as well so I fit the tank stuff round the housework..unless pufferghoti is working fro...
