That's why I love liquid tests. I try to keep my nitrates under 5 if possible. No need for me to ever worry about them that way.

I wouldn't worry about it not seeming like enough. If they actually ingest it, it doesn't seem to take much to get things moving.

I have one of the pumice aeration tubes that suction to the glass ($1-$2 at Petsmart) and my figure 8 uses those to swim against. He loves trying to swim down against the bubbles.
