Re: Daft things you have done
Last month I was pumping water into a container to mix up salt but I got distracted. I caught it as it was about to over flow. I didn't have time to shut off the sink so I closed one of the valves and attempted to run it to the sink. Not before the pressure blew off the metal piece on the back of th...

What causes a tank to break like that? I'm also going to have nightmares now.

Re: Porcupine Puffer Compatibility with Another Puffer?
They're really cool. I thought about getting one, but when I looked into it I was to worried about Juke. I tried a couple other tank mates at first. They either stressed him out or he ate them. I gave up on it. Maybe he's just a sensitive guy.

Re: Porcupine Puffer Compatibility with Another Puffer?
I read something on this site about someone adding a snowflake eel to their porc tank. The fish was possibly startled and jumped out of the tank. This is only what I remember from an older post. Either way porcupine puffers are not supposed to be compatible with anything. I have a small basslet and ...

Re: Porcupine Puffer Needs Help!
You have had your porc in a 75 gallon tank for 2 years? Thats too small, not to mention the tank mates are not really compatable. That's probably why he is only 4-5 inches. My porc was 2 1/2 inches when I got him less than a year ago. He is now over 7 inches. I have a 150 gallon tank and I do a 50% ...

Re: Hello! Color & Substrate Qs
I have black substrate and I love the way it looks. My porc Juke always looks nice. I only ever notice him change color when he comes out of a cave.

Re: Toys for your fahaka
Ti_clad, awesome idea. I use the same types of thing to keep dogs busy. Never thought of that for fish. I should have. I train juke the same way as dogs. It makes so much sense now. I have tried ping pong balls and poking holes. He couldn't care less, but throw a couple snails in a ball... best toy ...
