Re: Size in relation to age (f8)
I can tell you that I have had my f8 for 9 months, it came in really small at maybe 3/4 inch at it has just now reached an inch in length. I just recently added another f8 to my tank because I found one that was the same size, all the other ones that I had seen were much larger I treated him for int...

Keeping porc and dogface together
I am asking this for a friend who has a very large tank, 11'x4'x2' high. He has a porcupine puffer in there right now and wants to add a dog face or another large puffer if possible. He has tangs and Angels in there as well. Since his system is very large, I was thinking that it would work but I tho...

Valentini pair
I lost my valentini last week, and am going to be getting another one at some point but I was thinking about trying To get a pair for my 69 gallon display. Re: Valentini rapid breathing laying on sand
Yeah that's what I was trying. It's having no effect. He is so swollen he can't even move anymore. If I had some clove oil I would put him out of his misery. Can anyone come up with an explanation for this?

Re: Valentini rapid breathing laying on sand
I removed him from the tank and into a bucket, the qt is currently Occupied and don't want to possibly infect them. He is upside down now and appears to have some sort of bruising on his abdomen? It is a dark grayish color. He seems to be getting larger by the Minute. I added a tablespoon or aquariu...

Re: Valentini rapid breathing laying on sand
I had my Rubbermaid trash can full of new saltwater but the landscaping people came yesterday and there was grass and dirt all in it, and they sprayed for bugs last week so I just don't trust it. I cleaned it out and am making new water which is almost done. There is no way he is going to survive th...

Valentini rapid breathing laying on sand
I got home last night from being out Of town for 2 days and my valentini is dark in color and laying on the sand. He is breathing very rapidly and is very distressed. All of the other fish in the tank are behaving normally. There are no lesions on him, he isn't red, no visual parasites. Ammonia 0 tr...

Re: suction cup on his belly !?
Haha that is my favorite thing that my valentini does. No one else seems to love it the same as I do. I know when the turn the lights off because my valentini stares at me while suction cupped to a rock. He puts himself to bed every night.

He has seen me do it countless times and I have talked him through the process of who gets what, etc, etc. well I get home and look in the tanks and I see betta pellets, all over the place. So I got out t...

Re: pale f8, lethargic, help please!!
Yeah I do too, I only have chain stores around me though. There is one local saltwater and coral place but they don't do brackish or fresh at all. But I know all of the aquatics people very well and they can special order stuff for me. I talked to everyone and they called the suppliers while I was t...
