It could take a few days before a new fish is willing to eat. It is best to remove any uneaten food. It should be noted that krill is best avoided or just fed as a rare treat as it can cause jaw lock.

I don't see an issue with it, especially after boiling it, it might take time for wood to soak up enough water to not float though :P.

Just bought my first inhabitant: 1 peppermint shrimp to eat leftover food Also got the tunze auto top off, kalkwasser, magnesium mix, 7g reservoir that fits perfectly under my stand, Bulkreefsupply Reef Chili, and Kent feeder baster. I'll get a hammer coral this upcoming weekend after my items ship...

How big is he? A whopping 1" :lol:. If I ID'd correctly he'll grow to about 2inch max. I might set up my Fluval Edge for him if I can scrape up some money for another Tunze Osmolator ATO. Or I'll make an overflowbox out of some spare glass on the Fluval Edge and hook it into my 140g DT & 3...

Computers and water do not mix. Even computers and high humidity should be avoided.
