Wes is wonderful! I can't say enough good things about him. He's terrific to work with and very knowledgeable.
He sent me my 5 schoutedeni, and all arrived healthy and safe.

36-48 hours before shipping has usually been what they've done for me.

Re: Sap colors and housing with other species of puffer
I agree with Pufferpunk completely, would not house the SAPs with the schoutedeni. I have 7 T. schoutedeni and have had problems housing 6 babies of them together in a 125g, and they're the same species. What is the tank size that you are going to use for the two schoutedeni, and how old are they? (...

Re: My Schoutedenis Update
Happy to! I've read other posts on here where people had other experiences, and I'm very happy for them. I wish mine were one big happy puffer family, too, but they're more like some kind of reality TV show lol. If you get ones like mine through the luck of the draw, I'd say you'd probably be ok wit...

Congratulations! They are gorgeous!!! How thrilling, what a day! I'm so jealous. I want a palembang so badly but the spouse won't let me get any more puffers!

Re: My Schoutedenis Update
I know some will disagree with what I am about to say. This is just my experience and not necessarily representative of how everyone's schoutedenis act together. This is a tough question and one I was asking myself a lot in April. I had one adult schoutedeni who I had grown from a juvenile and was c...

Strange parasite- please help
Hello, I am having what looks to be an external parasite issue in my Tetraodon schoutedeni's tank. I have dosed the tank twice over a 45 day long period with Prazipro for 6-7 days each and also soaked her food in Prazipro and was able to get her to eat the soaked food once. The parasite is still in ...

I'm so sorry, Pufferpunk, that's so sad. Thinking of you as you go through this.

Re: Sad News...
Very sorry to hear of Filbert's passing and also that your turgidus is not doing well. It's so hard to lose them individually, and when it happens close together, it's double the heartbreak. I'm sure they count themselves lucky to have ended up with you taking care of them and have the very best hom...

Re: C. irrubescos starting to be available
That's great to know about the irrubescos' personalities! I thought they were much more aggressive than that, very neat that you were able to get 6 all happily in one tank. Good luck with the schoutedeni group. I have 6 juveniles in a 125g and 1 adult in a 55g, and they are my favorites for sure. On...

Forgot to shake Prazipro?
I think that I may have forgotten to shake the Prazipro before I dosed one of my schoutedeni tanks. I can't remember. She's acting very animated, much more so than usual, but her color looks ok. I just did a water change before dosing the tank. Should I be concerned? Thanks!

That's exciting that they got in 15! I saw 8 available online this week.
NJD, I don't know of a good Schoutedeni contact in the UK. I wish I could help!

I'm starting to see irrubescos available! Wonder if this means that they will be back for good? Are others noticing the same?

Re: Keeping plants alive in puffer tanks
I haven't had too much of an issue with incidental plant destruction with my schoutedeni but don't know about other puffers. I don't use chemicals in the water, I just make sure that they have appropriate lighting and so far, everything in the various tanks is looking pretty good. I am growing Val, ...
