Aquarium Glass/ Salt reaction
Hi, :D I have a question about the white blurriness on the aquarium glass/pane due to the salt in the water. In order to have brackish water I mix tap water in an extra bucket with a certain amount of salt. After a few days there is a white blurriness on the pane. How can I avoid that? :? Because I ...

Food: Snails
Hello again! :) I have ramshorn snails in an extra aquarium. I always crush them and put them in the tank to the little GSP babies who eat them afterwards. Is there another way to teach them, how to eat living snails so that I do not have to crush them anymore? :? I am sorry if this topic already ex...

Hi, my Jack Russell is 17 1/2 years old. Next year in January "Jack" is going to turn 18. We got him out of a pound when he was almost 10 years old. He stayed there for an entire year. He is actually doing pretty fine, except that he has a little bit Alzheimer and that he has to take 2 pil...

Re: Brackish Tank Correctly Decorated?
Ok, thanks, I will upgrade the tank as fast as I can! The problem is just in my area aren't many people who have or sell an aquarium. However I will probably go into the store and check these out.

Re: Brackish Tank Correctly Decorated?
@puffykid I think I will build a cave myself. But thank you for the idea! The only problem is that I think there is not enough space in that 60 litre aquarium.

Re: Brackish Tank Correctly Decorated?
@puffykid I don't like plastic stuff in an aquarium, so are there any plants which can survive brackish water except the Java Fern? Thanks!

Re: Brackish Tank Correctly Decorated?
Thanks for the information! :D I thought about as they grow older to put them in a marine tank. The Sera 130 is too small but the price is fine. I would also pay 500 Euros. And the Red Sea Max 250 is far to expensive for me. The cheapest Red Sea Max 250 was about 1300 Euros. So, does anyone of you k...

Re: Brackish Tank Correctly Decorated?
No, the wood won't. We call it Moorkienholz or Moorholz. I don't really know the English name *it is not a mangrove, but "swamp wood". But it is for Brackish water and won't rot. :) I feed them ramshorn snails and shrimp. I personally think that everything is fine, except the tank size (wh...

Re: Brackish Tank Correctly Decorated?
Thanks, now that you are mentioning their growth, I actually have never heard anything about it.
How fast do they actually grown? I have read that they can get very old like 12- 15 years.

Brackish Tank Correctly Decorated?
Hello, I am new here :) Since recently I have two GSP babies. It is a 60 Liter Tank *I think 15 gallons* right now. I am going to get a bigger one in a few months. But my question is if I have decorated my brackish water tank correctly? Should I change something in it or is it fine like that? Thank ...
