Re: New with hexagon.....
Welcome to the forum, in a hex I would make sure you get no more than one male for sure. 3 females would be a much safer bet, be sure to put many giddy holes and plenty of tall decor in too

Re: New Aquarium Setup
Not silly questions at all. Welcome to the forum. Personally I don't agree with Amazon puffers in short tanks as I had a nightmare with mine constantly pacing, it drove me insane. Ended up in a 5 foot. They need constant hard foods and regular teeth trimming too. Not a stress free fish to keep imo. ...

Re: Getting a GSP
You will make life easier long term if you set up the tank as a fish only with live rock tank (fowlr). If you go marine the live rock will be your filtration and you have no transition period.

Re: GSP, valentini, snowflake eel as tank mates?
You would likely be ok with the Valentini and gsp, the Valentini might eat your shrimp though, mine did. Eels and puffers can be a bad mix though, puffer nips the eel and eel tries to eat puffer. You might get away with it in a large tank but it might end in disasters.

Re: Fahaka puffer no eating
He needs a much larger tank for starters, 125g by himself minimum. This is one of the most aggressive fish on the market so he needs to be alone. How was his tank cycled? Don't mes with ph stable is better than fluctuating so long as extremes are avoided.

Re: Tankmates for my DP's
Only ever had a pair of males that weren't killers. All the rest were intolerant of anything else in there space. To add its not doom and gloom its long term experience which I rely on more than short term luck. It's your tank and ultimately you can only make the choice what to add, just be prepared...

Not terribly clear but look like bristle worms to me. Fantastic clean up crew to have. Just don't touch them

Re: Fat Indian dwarf puffer( I think)
I have separated dps during feeding. I used a jug to house the slow feeding puffer. You have to suck them in at first by lowering the jug but it soon becomes part of the routine. Does the belly become slightly sunken within 24 hrs?

Re: GSP setup
That really depends on your tank care and feeding etc. I keep double what I really need mixed up just in case. Regular water changes are better in my opinion. You can never really change too much

Re: DP and various Tetras?
It's really touch and go to be honest. 99% of dps will nip/harass other fish. Why not put a drilled partition in the tank and have the best of both worlds?
