Re: Help before I get a figure eight puffer

Unfortunately just measuring a quantity of salt to get a specific SG doesn't work. Not all salts are the same and they can also change over time as they age and are exposed to moisture. You have to test the water.

Re: Mixing species?

The female bettas will probably do better in their current setup compared to in a community tank. I wouldn't move them to a community tank nor would I add a DP to either tank. I'd give the puffer it's own 5 or 10gal tank. I currently have my DP in a 20gal long that's been divided into 3. The DP has ...

Re: Sick after cleaning tanks?

Any chronic illnesses that could mess with your thermoregulation? Any weird light exposure or anything like that? I know that when I work nights around 2am I will be freezing my butt off. Probably has something to do with my circadian rhythm but I can easily be shivering with a winter coat on and an...

Oh I much prefer Edinburgh. Montreal has a reputation for some rather rude people and I haven't had any experiences that have told me differently. I hear there's some awesome smoked meat places in Montreal though :) I'm in Ontario, 6-7 hours away.

I've got a Nikon DSLR as does my partner. Mine was used and came with a warranty. From a reputable source I wouldn't have an issue with buying a used camera :)

On mine the lower teeth were much shorter than the top ones. I think they only needed the tips clipped off.
