Re: one of my Palembang's laid EGGS!!!!!!!! Please HELP
hi, Thanks again for all the advice every one, and yeah, i guess i might try and remove some of the eggs with a siphon tube, but just gotta be extremely careful since they seem kinda "stuck" to the driftwood? Any how, just curious does any one know how long they take to hatch roughly, so i...

Re: one of my Palembang's laid EGGS!!!!!!!! Please HELP
hi, m.palembangensis are usually not so good guardeners. they will usually eat the eggs after some hours or a day or two. therefore you should remove them to another tank as soon as you can. if you do not have anything else, buy one of those some-liter-plastic tanks and hang it into the main tank so...

hi, this species has, as i know never been bred in captivitiy therefore i doubt that. the juvenile fish in the film do not behave like tipical pufferfish-fry as they are swimming so fast. the last picture does also not look like puffer fry, but it is hard to tell. try a better quality picture! here ...

Re: Tetraodon erythrotaenia
hi, Thank you Martin, for your reply. How big are yours now? How long have you had them? How big were they when you got them? Have you checked the SG of the water, if so what is it (1.001 -1.002)? @1: they have nearly not grown since then: 4 cm , i would guess. seems that they do not grow bigger tha...

hi, i have kept some of those species for a long time. as for a. modestus: it always be kept with others (but is very rare to find in the shops). auriglobus silus always was fine as juveniles but unfortunately use to kill each other as adults. always had only one int the tank in the end. also they a...

hi,
looks like a t.hamiltony to me.
if it is one, it needs sand to bury in. it usually lives in schools.
could you please try to make better pictures?

hi, and I saw no reference to them occuring in southern Thailand (on the Penninsula). I don't think there is much is any chance that this was an introduced fish, based on the locality. auriglobus modetus for example is found all over thailand and even south of sout thailand in malaysia: http://fishb...

hi,
t. nigroviridis should not live there. it's too high and therefore too far away from the sea, where it spawns.
how about the auriglobus-species?

hi,
yes, the genus of arothron belongs to the family of puffers.
picture one and two and the picture posted by me are all the same species: picture one and my picture show very small juveniles, picture two showes an adult fish.
