Re: C. irrubescos starting to be available
On another note I did buy a small group of irrubescos from them, they are v quickly becoming one of my fave puffers, real characters. My experience is that it takes a few weeks for puffers to settle in, but these from day 1 swim to the front of the tank to beg for food literally the second I walk in...

fahaka feeding frequency
Hi all, I have had my baby fahaka (Frank!) for about 3.5 weeks now. Initially he was eating really well on bloodworm, small snails and pretty much anything. He is about 2 inches. Last week I 'de-wormed' him by soaking bloodworms in flubendazol for an hour or 2 before feeding them to him, day 1 he at...

Keeping plants alive in puffer tanks
Hi all,
I am going to plant two of my puffer tanks (a 500L and a 200L). My experience with live plants to date has not been great.
What chemicals do you use to keep the plants alive?
Is there any chemicals that I should avoid that puffers are sensitive to?
Thanks

carintetradon irrubescos
Hi all, My LFS has just received a delivery of carinotetradon irrubescos at a good prices. I know they are fairly rare and quite cool so want to get some. From my understand, these are less aggressive then most and so multiple fish can be kept in one tank. The only spare tank I have right now is 200...

Re: Humpbacks had babies!!!!
Definitely 1 or 2 try swimming about. Tried to catch one to put in a breeding trap but missed. Turned the lights on and I think they have hidden.
Will the parents eat them??
How can I get food in the main tank for them?

Mbu with dwarf puffers
Hi all Firstly, I don't currently have a mbu, I am planning my dream puffer tank that I Hope to get in the next year. From my research it seems most people agree that a mbu can be kept with tankmates, ideally smaller ones. How about with dwarf puffers? I am picturing a 1000gal with 100 dwafs and a m...
