Re: Ceylon Puffer is a Tank Jumper
Yeah the little guy is still alive. Seems to swim okay but is quite disoriented and bumping into things. I had to hold the food up to his face with some chopsticks but he did manage to nibble on some shrimp and ate half a pea I offered. I hope the ordeal didn't destroy his vision.

Ceylon Puffer is a Tank Jumper
My 2 inch Ceylon Puffer managed to jump through a 3 inch opening on the back of his tank this morning. I am assuming he was out for about 2-3 hours already when he was found. He was dried out a little bit but was still somewhat moist underneath. I have since covered the opening and returned him to t...

Re: Identification
Beautiful Ceylon! And yes the reddish orange fins also give it away. They are best to be acclimated to high brackish/marine conditions. My 2 inch Ceylon has already been acclimated to Marine.

Re: Dwarf Puffers coexisting with snail population?
I had a ten gallon tank overrun with snails. I placed a single Dwarf Puffer in there and the population was reduced to marginal levels in a week.

Do they look like little pinepples? If so that's just normal and expected.

Re: Starting up new tank for my GSPs
Yeah I haven't seen any worms in my tank for about a year since I cut down to a 2-3 day feeding schedule.

Re: GSP stopped eating and black stomach
Kudos to housing him in a large tank. Many have come for help on here have bought several of them and placed them in 10 gallon tanks or even Betta bowls! Along with what PP said about the tankmates, definitely do some water changes which will be beneficial in controlling toxic water readings. Fortun...

Re: PLEASE IDENTIFY
Please don't try to let anyone pass that off as a DP or tell you it is! Fahakas might look identical to one when they are fry but anyone getting one thinking it will stay small and cute are in a for a rude awakening when it gets past a couple inches and doesn't stop growing! Those guys are beasts!
