Additionally you should ditch the bubbler. In a salt tank its just going to cause spray, creep, and will etch your canopies. Agreed. I hope someone develops and sells cheap DIY live rock soon. There's gotta be a killing to be made and not much room for error in selling lightweight, oddly shaped, porous rock to enthused hobbyists who care about the wild reef environment.

Bristle worms are basically equivalent to fiberglass on steriods. Tip if you brush into one use can use tape to pull the spines out. Any notable experience, good or bad, is valuable. I'm especially interested, though, in anything you are glad you did or regret doing when adding live rock to a tank.

I've heard that two things make them more inclined to breed - warm water and plenty of food.
Have they got a lot to eat? Also, maybe pop a cheap heater in there, if you haven't got one.
