Melanin is often suggested here for injuries. If it's pop eye as a disease treat for parasites? I think you re...

Re: Possible sick puffer
Vibrio alginolyticus is a Gram-negative marine bacterium. It is medically important since it causes otitis and wound infection.[1] It is also present in the bodies of animals such as pufferfish, where it is responsible for the production of the potent neurotoxin, tetrodotoxin.[2] V.alginolyticus was...

Re: What does everyone feed their golden puffer?
Most puffers can't resist a wiggly worm to get them started.

Sounds like a sick fish alright, what are the water paremeters - is the fish in fresh water or brackish/marine?

GSP Eating Trumpet Coral
Its not really a question just an observation, my 2 gsp are now 5cm (2in) and growing really fast in full marine (spg 1.021) I have introduced a trumpet coral and mushrooms and of the two puffers one is a coral biter. Only test bites on the mushrooms then they were left alone. Test bites on the trum...

I went with the bare hand and chase them off method. They are determined little fish! Holding coral rock in place while glueing takes a bit of courage as the inch closer and closer

Re: Tank updates - puffers & tankmates
Doseing with IP treatment is never a bad idea, not sure how it would work in a marine tank though? Maybe someone else on here with marine experience could answer? In the advent of no real info I might dose in a quarantine tank? My two GSP are now up to 1.014.....so close to marine. Im very excited.
