Re: Anemone Stings
Ok, this is the holiday season and not many people are around.....I had to pee on my right hand, you know, the hand you have to usually hold Mr. Winkie with. Then I wrapped a poultice of Adolf's Meat Tenderizer on it. Holy crap did that work! The Winning combo came from a non member that grew up in ...

Anemone Stings
Anyone ever been stung by an anemone? I have a mid size Haddon's Carpet anemone and I got hammered while I was moving a coral tonight. Ideas for relief? I'll tell what I did after a few people pipe up.
Oh, the people that know how I treated it, let's see if anyone else gets it and why it worked.

Re: dentistry alternative?
Ok, guys, I had to have some fun with this one before I banned them! Hey, maybe we'll garner a new friendship out of it and a new puffer lover. This was my E-mail response: Hi! I see you posted a reply to a forum I administer and maintain. I am interested in having some dental work done under anesth...

Re: Beetroot is in trouble :(
What do you have in there for decor? Can you describe the scratch? Puffers usually don't end up with deep scratches because their skin is so thick, open areas like that are usually infection related or disease related. Can you post Pics ASAP? In the mean time I'd add Melafix to the tank and an air s...

Re: Suitable puffer to have in a 30gallon
46g bowfront isn't much longer than a 30g. A 29 gallon (standard "30 gallon") is approx. 320 lbs filled and a 46 gallon bow front is about 640 lbs filled. Even though the space is roughly the same the weight is drastically different. Some apartments state in their rental agreements that y...

Re: can light blind puffers?
That'a basically a pure reef tank designed for more difficult corals. It's an awesome deal though, the medal hallides are nearly worth what he's selling the system for. That would be a nice, nice tank even if not for a puffer.

Re: Is potato salad supposed to have nuts in it?
It depends on how a guy falls. If he sits in it the nuts belong there, if he falls head first the nuts definitely shouldn't be there. :yikes: Now, JP if you put your finger in there intentionally the nut belongs in it, if you put it in there intentionally and then start babbling and drooling, then t...

Re: Silly Question
Puffers in captivity lose their toxin after awhile. It is a symbiotic relationship with a bacteria that causes the toxin and they don't get the bacteria in captivity.

Re: Whats the most colourful freshwater puffer?
T.pustulatus are almost impossible, if not impossible, to find and very expensive. You have to be really careful when you see one advertised because juvenile Fahakas look like T.pustulatus.

Those are fun! I just ran this one http://toughmudder.com/ in July. 10 miles on the side of a ski hill. It took me forever but I finished! Really look in to this one, it's a blast!
