+1 to bertie 83 comments. As a general rule what ever the tank volume is, we subtract 30% of that for substrate, and decor (tank volume x .70) . In this case it seems to be more. Most likely under 20 gals... closer to 15 ~ 17?

How is the surface movement of the water? You mentioned that you don't have the spray bar, are there at some ripples and constant movement at the surface for gas exchange?

actually, that puff looks really good. they do turn dark when sleeping and kind of camo themselves. I think you're doing an excellent job.
