Re: Some people shouldn't be in the hobby

Re: help with puffer purchase

Personally, I'd rather have the porky in preference though I have a both in seperate tanks.

Re: What's your puffer's name?

My gsp ended up with the name Frankenstein or frank for short. Found him on the floor one morning, when I went to wash the carpet lint off him before giving him a proper burial he started swimming around in the sink. "ITS ALIVE!" Or Flash.. http://theiqcontinuum.com/wp-content/uploads/201...

Re: STELLATUS ATTACKED MY FRIENDS CAT :S

Re: Using a refractometer

I check my calibration on the frst day of every month with a commerically bought 1.026 standard. I've found historically in the water treatment industry following ASTM standards that RO water is around 0.997 or 0,998 whch makes for a systemtic error if you are using only a single point calibration o...

Re: dwarf puffer not eating, very skinny

We have Marinepure Biofilter balls. They are the size of a golf ball but an internal surface area of a football field. The Niagra(US) Aquariums use them.
