Wilbur, my Valentini Puffer... :(

Hi everyone, I haven't been around in awhile because I've been feeling pretty "blah" About three weeks ago, my Valentini Wilbur died. He was fine in the morning but when I got home from work he was sucked into the powerhead :'( (which I now have a cover over so that won't happen again) Its...

Re: Chompers getting better... but one gill's closed ??

He sad it seemed like it was scabbed closed... or like there was a layer of film keeping it closed. So yea it's open now, and he's doing good, so we're just going to ...

Re: PLANTS IN PUFFER TANK CARE

I wouldn't use CO2, I've heard many stories about dosing too much and killing fish. I don't know if it would affect puffers more than other fish or not but I wouldn't use it, easier to just do it the low tech way.

He looks good. Keep on testing the water. If gravel and filter media are moved from the 20gallon you should be alright with the cycle.

Re: New GSP, poor planing, please help...

Have you tested the water in the 10 gallon yet? If you added filter media, decorations and some of the gravel from the cycled tank it should be pretty much cycled. You might have a mini cycle and need to do a water change though. After you test the water and make sure that the tank is cycled you can...

Re: Substrate Question

What about how hard people say it is to clean before it goes into the tank? Also isn't it harder to clean? I "think" with the aragonite I'd be able to vac like I do with the gravel but not with sand right? You kind of have to put the gravel vac close to the sand but not close enough to su...
