I was given a CPR Bak-pak SR2 SUMP model skimmer, brand new, as a gift. I was wondering how i could "rig" this into an HOB skimmer. I thought about getting some acrylic pieces and using silicone to stick them into place to seal off the open water output. Any ideas would be appreciated! Her...

I'm no professional by any means, but maybe you had a bit of rock with algae that went unnoticed and it just went rampant. Could have also been the water you were using.. I've heard of tap water containing stuff that makes algae/bacteria outbreaks that do damage. Not sure though. There are many many...
